ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands – July 17, 2023 – The BVI Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) is pleased to announce the appointment of our new Human Resources Manager, Dierdra Wheatley-Peters, PhD who will play a pivotal role in driving our organization’s talent management strategy forward.
The BVIHSA has been successful in recruiting Mrs. Wheatley-Peters to lead the organization’s Human Resources Department who has extensive public service experience having worked at the Ministry of Health & Social Development (Housing Recovery), Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour, Department of Human Resources, and the H. Lavity Stout Community College.
With over 15 years of experience in various aspects of Human Resources services, Mrs. Wheatley-Peters brings with her a wealth of experience, knowledge, and innovative ideas. She previously held the leadership position of Human Resources Manager, at the Ministry of Health and Social Development, where she led a variety of staff improvement initiatives.
As BVIHSA’s new Human Resources Manager, Mrs. Wheatley-Peters will play a key role in overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment and staffing, training and development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance with labor laws.
Acting BVIHSA CEO Dr. June Samuel welcomed the new HR Manager to the organization stating, “We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Wheatley-Peters to our team.
