Give the Gift of Life – Donate Blood Today

Every drop counts. Blood donation is one of the most impactful and lifesaving acts a person can do. A single donation can save up to three lives. At BVIHSA, we rely on the generosity of volunteer donors to maintain a stable and safe blood supply for emergency surgeries, trauma cases, childbirth complications, cancer treatments, and chronic illness management.

Why Donate?

  • Save Lives: Blood cannot be manufactured—it can only come from donors.
  • Support Community Health: Donating helps ensure blood is available when your loved ones or neighbors need it most.
  • Health Benefits: Regular donation can support heart health and stimulate new blood cell production.

Who Can Donate?

Healthy individuals between the ages of 18–65, weighing at least 110 lbs (50 kg), with no recent illnesses or infections, and meeting our screening criteria.

How to Donate

Visit the Blood Bank at the Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital or contact the Laboratory Services Unit to book an appointment.

Be a hero. Donate blood. Save lives.
