The Hemodialysis Unit at Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital provides comprehensive, in-center chronic outpatient dialysis for residents of the Virgin Islands. Additionally, the unit welcomes visiting patients who require dialysis while traveling for business or leisure. Admission to the facility is by referral following evaluation by a Nephrologist, ensuring that each patient receives specialized and appropriate care.

All patient consultations and services at the HIV/STI Clinic are available exclusively by appointment. This approach allows the clinic to provide individualized attention and maintain patient confidentiality.

STI Counselling

Confidential counselling services are provided to help patients understand, prevent, and manage sexually transmitted infections (STIs). This service includes education on transmission, prevention strategies, and treatment options.

Recognizing the emotional impact of an HIV or STI diagnosis, the clinic offers psychological support to help patients manage stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges associated with their condition

Free Home Test Kits for HIV

In order to ensure a comprehensive approach to sexual health, the clinic facilitates HIV/STI testing for partners. This service supports early identification and treatment of infections, fostering a proactive approach to health management

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)

PrEP is a preventative treatment offered by the clinic to reduce the risk of HIV infection for individuals who are considered high-risk. This regimen, when taken consistently, significantly lowers the likelihood of contracting HIV.
