Errol A. Jones is a seasoned finance executive with over two decades of progressive leadership experience in accounting, financial management, and strategic business operations. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Manchester, England, and is a Certified Chartered Accountant with extensive expertise in financial planning, budgeting, auditing, and risk management.
Mr. Jones has held senior positions across both national and international organisations, including the Jamaica Tourist Board, Petroleum Company of Jamaica, and the Pan American Health Organisation. Most recently, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Tip Friendly Society, where he successfully enhanced financial reporting frameworks, implemented stronger internal controls, and introduced systems to improve efficiency and accountability.
As Financial Comptroller of the BVI Health Services Authority, Mr. Jones provides strategic oversight of the Authority’s financial operations. His responsibilities include managing budgets, monitoring financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and aligning financial practices with the Authority’s mission to deliver high-quality, sustainable healthcare services to the people of the Virgin Islands.
In addition to his executive leadership, Mr. Jones is committed to professional development and mentorship. He has served as a lecturer in finance and business strategy at the College of Insurance and Professional Studies, contributing to various professional bodies, including the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (UK), the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Jamaica, and the Association of Accounting Technicians (UK).
