Cedorene P. Malone-Smith serves as the Chief of Operations at BVIHSA and has been with the organization since 2009, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the Dr. D. Orlando Institute Smith Hospital and community clinics. With over 30 years of experience in healthcare management and nursing, she brings a wealth of expertise in hospital administration, clinical program development, budgeting, quality assurance, and staff development.

Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Malone-Smith has successfully led complex projects, including major hospital relocations, implementation of innovative patient care models, and optimization of operational workflows to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction. She is known for her strong leadership, exceptional negotiation skills, and ability to integrate strategic planning with day-to-day hospital operations.

Prior to joining BVIHSA, she held senior leadership positions in hospitals and clinical practices in the United States, including management of Maternal/Child and Labor/Delivery units, practice management for large OB/GYN practices, and oversight of patient care coordination. Her work has consistently focused on improving patient outcomes, fostering staff development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
