Dr. Panchanan Bhattacharya is an experienced General Surgeon and Endoscopist with 31yrs of experience in both fields of General Surgery. Dr. Bhattacharya is dedicated to providing patient-centered care, emphasizing the importance of clear communication and collaborative decision making. He specilises in managing most of the surgical diseases of Breast, thyroid, Gall-bladder, liver and pancreas and small bowel and Colo-rectal including cancers in both chronic and in acute emergency condition requiring hospitalization. He also does upper and lower gastroinstinal Endoscopies in chronic and acute conditions including vomiting blood and passing blood from rectum. After finishing his medical education and post graduate education in General Surgery and training in Calcutta (KOLKATA) in India he came to UK in 1976 for further training and higher Education. He passed his FRCS from Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1982 and received further surgical and endoscopy training and became Medical Specialist (Surgeon) in 1994. He was clinical head of Endoscopy. After retiring in UK in 2012 he joined in Peebles Hospital (Dr. D. Orlando Smith Hospital now) in Tortola, BVI as a Medical Specialist (Surgeon) and he is continuing in the same post as a head of Surgical Unit in BVIHSA.
