Dr. Mickel Ballah is a medical doctor from Trinidad and Tobago, with over 5 years of experience in emergency medicine and clinical interests in resuscitation medicine and cardiac critical care. He graduated with honors in Biology and Biotechnology from the University of the West Indies (UWI), St. Augustine in 2012. He then earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from UWI Cave Hill in 2018.
Dr. Ballah began his medical career in 2019 as an Emergency Physician at the Arima District Health Facility, where he worked until 2023. In addition to his work in emergency medicine, he spent one year in the Primary Care Department further diversifying his clinical expertise.
In 2023, Dr. Ballah joined the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority as a Medical Officer in the Primary Care Department. His current role continues to leverage his broad medical knowledge base and experience.
Outside of his medical practice, Dr. Ballah is passionate about hiking, mountain biking, and beach activities. He also enjoys writing and poetry, using these creative outlets to reflect on his personal and professional experiences.
