About Dr. Palmer

Dr. Donna-Marie Gyles Palmer is a compassionate and dedicated medical professional with over six years of experience across the fields of Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. She joins the BVI Health Services Authority as a Medical Officer in Primary Care, bringing a strong commitment to patient-centered healthcare and community wellness.

Originally from Jamaica, Dr. Gyles Palmer has served in various clinical settings including the St. Ann’s Bay Regional Hospital, Alexandria Community Hospital, and Spanish Town Public General Hospital, where she honed her skills in acute and preventative care. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of the West Indies and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Paediatrics from the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Gyles Palmer is passionate about health education, early intervention, and improving access to quality medical services in underserved communities. Her professional approach is marked by empathy, diligence, and a genuine love for helping others achieve their best health.
