Dr. Annelise Wilkins, MBChB FRCA, is an Anesthesiologist and Intensivist from Harrogate, England. Since 2016, Dr. Wilkins has been providing General Anesthesia and Intensive Care services at BVIHSA. She also serves as the Assistant Chief of Medical Staff and the Lead for Clinical Governance. In these roles, she is dedicated to driving change management through medical education, health care policy, and collaboration with associated entities to improve the quality of care and service provision in the British Virgin Islands public health sector.

 

Dr. Wilkins graduated from The University of Birmingham Medical School in England and completed her specialist training in Yorkshire, primarily at Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust. With 15 years of experience in anesthesia and intensive care, she possesses advanced skills in cardiothoracic and regional anesthesia. In 2014, Dr. Wilkins became a fellow of The Royal College of Anaesthetists, UK, after obtaining her postgraduate specialist degree. She is also a member of the AAGBI (Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland), the British Medical Association, and a certified RCUK (Resuscitation Council UK) instructor in Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS).

 

Dr. Wilkins resides in the British Virgin Islands with their husband and two children.
