Friday, June 12 – As of 8:00 a.m. this morning, the BVI Health Services Authority commenced enforcement of the visitation policy at Peebles Hospital. In light of the recent case of Influenza A H1N1 - commonly called Swine Flu, persons will now be screened before being allowed entrance into the hospital. In a briefing this morning, Dr. Ronald Georges Ag. Chief Executive Officer reiterated the Minister of Health’s sentiments in her address yesterday, by stating that there was no need for panic. “This is just a precautionary measure. This visitation policy has always existed; we are just simply enforcing it to ensure the safety of staff and patients.” Dr. Georges said. According to BBC News,
