Scotiabank BVI limited held an inaugural 5k Run/Walk during the first week in November and raised a total $40,000 to donate to the new Peebles Hospital’s Pediatric Ward. The key donors included Scotiabank Bright Future which donated $15,000 (as part of a 3 year commitment); $25,000 was donated by 16 corporate sponsors, 250 registrants within teams and as individuals.
The Managing Director Mr. Jason Waters stated “Peebles Hospital has been a cornerstone for the BVI community ever since it first opened and with the launch of the new Peebles Hospital members of the community and businesses have rallied together to help improve the facilities. Our effort at Scotiabank will help leave a meaningful legacy for our community for years to come! The new Peebles Hospital is a beacon of hope, possibilities and pride for BVI which truly embody our brand promise of discovering what’s possible.”
