- Chronic cough lasting more than three weeks
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
- Difficulty breathing
- Pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lungs)
- Obstructive sleep apnea
- Coughing up of blood, or emphysema (condition in which the air sacs of the lungs are damaged and enlarged causing breathlessness)
Dr. Jose R. Adorno Fontanez, M.D. is a board-certified internist and pulmonologist. He received his medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine, Ponce, Puerto Rico.
His post-graduate work included an internship/residency in internal medicine at VA Medical Center San Juan PR. Afterward, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine at VA Medical Center San Juan, PR .Dr. Adorno is currently part of the medical faculty at HIMA San Pablo, Puerto Rico, since 2010.
Dr. Rosangela L. Fernandez Medero, M.D.MPH is a board-certified critical care pulmonologist. She received her medical degree from the Autonomous University of Guadalajara in Jalisco Mexico
Dr. Fernandez Medero post-graduate work included an internship in internal medicine at Caguas Regional hospital & Saint Luke’s Hospital in Puerto Rico and a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellowship at VA Medical Center San Juan, PR. She works at Hospital HIMA San Pablo Caguas since 2009.
