The Marketing and Communications Unit within the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority (BVIHSA) introduces the new website for the Authority.
According to Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Darlene Carty Baptiste, “I am pleased to offer the public another service from the BVIHSA…updated, accurate information they can access 24 hours a day anywhere in the world.”
She went on to add, “We are focusing on client-centred care at the Authority and with the website being fully operational our clients can now browse our services, ask questions, contact staff and have complete access to information that can help us serve them optimally.
The Marketing and Communications Manager Mrs. Franka Potter explained “that websites are not new to the world, as it is a major medium for organisations to educate, market, attract and retain its clients. As the Virgin Islands community is aware the Authority is currently making a full transition towards service excellence, it is only fitting that a new website serves our clients with excellence.”
Mrs. Potter went on to expand by saying that “The website is user-friendly for anyone who seeks information. The Virgin Islands Community is encouraged to fully explore the website, and feedback is always welcomed.”
The new website located at www.bvihsa.vg has information on all services within Peebles Hospital and the 11 Clinics located throughout the Virgin Islands. At a click of button residents and visitors can access information on services, specialties, clinical and non-clinical staff and support services.
The website will also post community bulletins, activities, pledge programmes updates, messages, education sessions, public announcements, a photo gallery and media releases.
In addition to the new website, two new Live Call-in radio programmes are added to the marketing strategies of the Authority.
On Thursday, 4th September at 8:15am on ZROD 103.7FM and a team from the BVIHSA will present weekly updates and information pertaining to the new Peebles Hospital Pledge Programme.
Then starting Friday, 5th September at 8:00am on ZVCR 106.9FM, another team from the BVIHSA will provide updates and information pertaining to specialty and medical services.
The Virgin Islands community is kindly asked to tune into both programmes and participate by calling into the programme with questions, concerns, and feedback.
The British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority envisions being the leader and preferred provider of health care in the Virgin Islands and the marketing and communication measures implemented are to inform clients on all services, activities and programmes offered.
