Neurologists treat stroke patients, as well as patients with epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, and hundreds of other neurological issues, some of which are acute, others of which may be ongoing or chronic.
Lasting symptoms such as sleep problems, memory problems or confusion, vision problems, seizures, movement problems, weakness, numbness or tingling, dizziness, chronic pain or severe headaches may be the result of an underlining neurological problem.
Dr. Ulises Lisandro Nobo, M.D is a board-certified neurology and board-certified vascular neurologist. He received his medical degree from the University Of Buenos Aires School Of Medicine.
His post-graduate work included an internship in internal medicine at Danbury Hospital, Danbury, Connecticut. He then completed a Neurology residency at the University of Southern California, where he became chief resident at the end of his training. Afterward, he completed a fellowship in cerebrovascular medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine. He served as the medical director of the Stroke Center Norton Healthcare, Louisville, Kentucky.
Currently, he is the acting director of the Stroke Center at HIMA –San Pablo Caguas where he has been practicing since December 2006.
Dr. Christian E. Schenk, M.D. is a board certified neurologist, neuropsychiatrist and behavioral neurologist. He received his medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences campus.
His post-graduate work included an internship in internal medicine at the Veteran’s Administration Caribbean Healthcare Services at Puerto Rico. He also completed a neurology residency training at the University of Puerto Rico and a Fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at the University Hospitals in Cleveland, Ohio.
Dr. Schenk is currently part of the medical faculty at HIMA San Pablo, Fajardo.
