According to the President Mr. Marvin Grant when asked about the Association’s generosity, he stated, “This donation to the hospital is in keeping with the Association’s objective to provide community service. Peebles Hospital provides very vital and important functions for this Territory and many including Guyanese Nationals residing here have accessed care. As such we take great pride in being able to make our contribution towards the continued enhancement of the work done by the management and staff of Peebles Hospital.”
The thermal blankets were accepted by the Director of Nursing Services Mrs. Gretchen Hodge-Penn who welcomed the donation and stated, “Our patients will benefit from this donation tremendously. These blankets will provide our patients with comfort and warmth and on behalf of the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority we are most grateful for this generosity.”
The thermal blankets will be used at various locations in the hospital, namely the Emergency Room, maternity, pediatric, surgical and medical ward.
The British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority remains committed to delivering excellent, compassionate, client-centred healthcare, and thanks the Virgin Islands Community for all donations towards supporting our vision.
