Dr. Andrew McIntosh hails from Jamaica. In his formative years, Dr. McIntosh attended the Marcus Garvey High School and Munro College. He received his medical degree from the University of the West Indies, Mona Kingston, and completed his doctorate in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the same institution in 2012.
He has clinical interest in Minimal Invasive Surgery and Infertility Management. His doctoral papers included: a Prospective trial looking into exteriorization versus in situ hysterotomy closure at Caesarean section; and a Retrospective trial looking at laparoscopic hysterectomy verses vaginal hysterectomy. Dr. McIntosh has over thirteen (13) years work experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has worked in several institutions prior to employment at the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority in 2017.
