The Financial Services Department within the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority is hosting a Debt Relief Promotion to assist patients with outstanding Hospital bills.
Speaking with the Financial Comptroller, Mrs. Angelina John, she stated that “The Authority has quite a number of outstanding bills and the Authority has taken into consideration the concerns voiced by many and want to provide some financial relief. The Debt Relief Promotion affords all patients with bills prior to 2015 the opportunity to obtain a discount of 10-45 percent off their total bill.”
In addition to the discount, persons can be placed on payment plans that best fit each individual’s financial circumstance. Similarly, persons with existing payment plans can upgrade their existing plan to take advantage of the promotion. The promotion also allows patients up to four years to repay the full bill.
Members of the Financial Services team will serve as guests on local radio and television stations over the coming weeks to provide the community with more information regarding the Debt Relief Promotion and the operations of the BVIHSA’s Admissions, Billing and Collections Unit within the Financial Services Department.
The Debt Relief Promotion takes immediate effect with an expiration date of 30th November 2015. Persons with outstanding bills are encouraged to call the Billing and Collections Unit at 852-7500 extension 7505/7503 or email email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
