The Nursing Services are charged with the delivery of nursing care to all patient populations, in-patients, out-patients
dialysis, emergency, day surgery and nursing care in the community setting. Thus nurses provide care throughout the territory. The division of Nursing Services also administers the Expanded Program on Immunization for the entire territory.
To provide high quality, cost-effective patient care through excellence in nursing practice and interdisciplinary teamwork to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
The Nursing Service of the British Virgin Islands Health Services Authority will meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our patients and the community through an environment of caring, collaboration, and the integration of education and existing research into nursing practice.

Our all-professional staff includes Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses and Midwives and Enrolled Nursing Assistants. We also engage Orderlies and Ward Clerks who add valuable support to the work of Nursing. All of our professional staff is licensed to practice by the Virgin Islands Nurses and Midwives Council.
