Our Community Health Services offers a wide-range of primary and preventive health services to families and individuals
of all ages and backgrounds. Our dedicated, client-centered team of providers, nurses and support staff provide a continuous source of high quality, comprehensive and affordable medical care to Virgin Islands residents and visitors.
Our Community Health Services focus on prevention and are designed to help people lead healthier lives. The services include the following:
Caring for pregnant women from the beginning of the pregnancy to birth of the baby.
Birth Control Methods
Hormonal, barrier and sterilization methods including, abstinence counseling, injections, oral pills, IUDs, tubal ligation, condoms, etc. Information is available on other forms of contraception as needed.
Child Health Clinic (Well-Baby Clinic)
Wellness checks and immunizations for babies, infants and children up to age five.
Chronic Disease Management
Offers care and treatment to all persons with chronic diseases. These include conditions such as Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, Cancer and Asthma.
Corporate Health Services
Provide wellness services to groups of employees from Government Departments, Corporate Institutions and other agencies.
Provides services to ensure that everyone achieves their optimal level of mental wellness. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being.
Provides and maintains services directed towards limiting and preventing the occurrence, progression and recurrence of dental diseases.
This clinic provides care and treatment to persons who are ill, treats minor injuries, treats and manages persons with chronic disease such as Diabetes and High Blood Pressure and conduct wellness checks for persons seeking yearly or employment physicals.
This clinic caters to women and men of childbearing age, offering various forms of contraception and counseling on child spacing and contraceptive use.
These services are offered during working hours to persons within the home environment and include persons who are housebound, recently discharged from hospital or mothers with new babies.
This clinic is responsible for the review of all medical documents and physical examinations, where applicable, for persons entering the Territory for work or residency.
Offers the territory’s population protection against life threatening diseases.
Provides services that will ensure optimal drug therapy, by contributing to the preparation, supply and control of medicines and associated products. Including information and advice to those who prescribe and or use pharmaceutical products.
Post Natal Care
Caring for mothers and newborns during the first six weeks after birth to ensure that both mother and baby remain free of complications. These checks can be done in the home environment or at the health care facility.
School Health Services
This include physical assessments, laboratory investigations, hearing assessments and vision screening for all children entering primary and secondary school. Immunization status is reviewed and updated as needed.
Wound Care Services
Provide care for persons with cuts, bruises, other injuries and chronic ulcers.
